Praise for the LORD’S Mercies.

[A Psalm] of David.

  1 aBless° the LORD°, O my soul°,
  And all° that is within° me, [bless] His bholy° name°.
  2 Bless° the LORD°, O my soul°,
  And aforget° none°° of His benefits°;
  3 Who apardons° all° your iniquities°,
  Who bheals° all° your diseases°;
  4 Who aredeems° your life° from the pit°,
  Who bcrowns° you with lovingkindness° and compassion°;
  5 Who asatisfies° your Iyears° with good° things°,
  [So that] your youth° is brenewed° like the eagle°.

  6 ¶ The LORD° aperforms° Irighteous° deeds°
  And judgments° for all° who are boppressed°.
  7 He amade° known° His ways° to Moses°,
  His bacts° to the sons° of Israel°.
  8 The LORD° is acompassionate° and gracious°,
  bSlow° to anger° and abounding° in lovingkindness°.
  9 He awill not always° strive° [with us],
  Nor° will He bkeep° [His anger] forever°.
  10 He has anot dealt° with us according to our sins°,
  Nor° rewarded° us according to our iniquities°.
  11 For as high° aas the heavens° are above° the earth°,
  So great° is His lovingkindness° toward° those who Ifear° Him.
  12 As far° as the east° is from the west°,
  So far° has He aremoved° our transgressions° from us.
  13 Just aas a father° has° compassion° on [his] children°,
  So the LORD° has° compassion° on those who Ifear° Him.
  14 For aHe Himself° knows° Iour frame°;
  He bis mindful° that we are [but] cdust°.

  As a bflower° of the field°, so° he flourishes°.
  16 When° the awind° has passed° over° it, it is no° more°,

  17 But the alovingkindness° of the LORD° is from everlasting° to everlasting° on those who Ifear° Him,
  And His IIrighteousness° bto children’s° children°,
  18 To athose who keep° His covenant°
  And remember° His precepts° to do° them.

An exhortation to bless God for his mercy,

1 ¶ [[[A Psalm] of David.]]º Blessº ª ² the LORD,º O my soul:º and all² that is withinº me, [bless]² his holyº name.º 2 Blessº ª ² the LORD,º O my soul,º and forgetº ª not² all² his benefits:º 3 Who forgivethº ª all² thine iniquities;º who healethº ª all² thy diseases;º 4 Who redeemethº ª thy lifeº from destruction;º ² who crownethº ª thee with lovingkindnessº and tender mercies;º 5 Who satisfiethº ª thy mouthº with goodº [things; so that] thy youthº is renewedº ª like the eagle's.º 6 The LORDº executethº ª righteousnessº and judgmentº for all² that are oppressed.º ª 7 He made knownº ª his waysº unto Moses,º his actsº unto the childrenº of Israel.º 8 The LORDº [is] mercifulº and gracious,º slowº to anger,º and plenteousº in mercy.º 9 He will not² alwaysº chide:º ª neither² will he keepº ª [his anger] for ever.º 10 He hath not² dealtº ª with us after our sins;º nor² rewardedº ª ² us according to our iniquities.º 11 For² as the heavenº is high² above¹ ª ² the earth,º [so] greatº ª is his mercyº toward² them that fearº him. 12 As far² as¹ ª the eastº is from the west,º ² [so] far hath he removedº ª ² our transgressionsº from² us. 13 Like as a fatherº pitiethº ª ² [his] children,º [so] the LORDº pitiethº ª ² them that fearº him. 14 For² he² knowethº ª our frame;º he rememberethº ª that² we² [are] dust.º
