[A Psalm] of Solomon.

  1 Give° the king° aYour judgments°, O God°,
  And bYour righteousness° to the king’s° son°.
  2 IMay IIhe ajudge° Your people° with righteousness°
  And III bYour afflicted° with justice°.
  3 ILet the mountains° bring° II apeace° to the people°,
  And the hills°, in righteousness°.
  4 IMay he avindicate° the IIafflicted° of the people°,
  Save° the children° of the needy°
  And crush° the oppressor°.

  And their blood° will be bprecious° in his sight°;
  15 So may he live°, and may the agold° of Sheba° be given° to him;

David, praying for Solomon, sheweth the goodness and glory of his, in type, and in truth, of Christ's Kingdom.

1 ¶ [[[A Psalm] for Solomon.]]º Giveº ª the kingº thy judgments,º O God,º and thy righteousnessº unto the king'sº son.º 2 He shall judgeº ª thy peopleº with righteousness,º and thy poorº with judgment.º 3 The mountainsº shall bringº ª peaceº to the people,º and the little hills,º by righteousness.º 4 He shall judgeº ª the poorº of the people,º he shall saveº ª the childrenº of the needy,º and shall break in piecesº ª the oppressor.º ª 5 They shall fearº ª thee as long² as¹ the sunº and moonº endure,º throughout all¹ generations.º 6 He shall come downº ª like rainº upon² the mown¹ grass:² as showersº [that] waterº the earth.º 7 In his daysº shall the righteousº flourish;º ª and abundanceº of peaceº so long² as the moonº endureth.² 8 He shall have dominionº ª also from seaº ² to² sea,º and from the riverº ² unto² the endsº of the earth.º 9 They that dwell in the wildernessº shall bowº ª beforeº him; and his enemiesº ª shall lickº ª the dust.º 10 The kingsº of Tarshishº and of the islesº shall bringº ª presents:º the kingsº of Shebaº and Sebaº shall offerº ª gifts.º 11 Yea, all² kingsº shall fall downº ª before him: all² nationsº shall serveº ª him. 12 For² he shall deliverº ª the needyº when he crieth;º ª the poorº also, and [him] that hath no² helper.º ª 13 He shall spareº ª ² the poorº and needy,º and shall saveº ª the soulsº of the needy.º 14 He shall redeemº ª their soulº from deceitº ² and violence:º ² and preciousº ª shall their bloodº be in his sight.º 15 And he shall live,º ª and to him shall be givenº ª of the goldº ² of Sheba:º prayer² also shall be made¹ ª for² him continually;º [and] dailyº ² shall he be praised.º ª 16 There shall be² an handfulº of cornº in the earthº upon the topº of the mountains;º the fruitº thereof shall shakeº ª like Lebanon:º and [they] of the cityº ² shall flourishº ª like grassº of the earth.º 17 His nameº shall endure² for ever:º his nameº shall be continuedº ª ª ª as long² as¹ the sun:º and [men] shall be blessedº ª in him: all² nationsº shall call him blessed.º ª
