The glory of the Church in the abundant access of the Gentiles,

1 ¶ Arise,ºª shine;ºª for² thy lightº is come,ºª and the gloryº of the LORDº is risenºª upon² thee. 2 For,² behold,² the darknessº shall coverºª the earth,º and gross darknessº the people:º but the LORDº shall ariseºª upon² thee, and his gloryº shall be seenºª upon² thee. 3 And the Gentilesº shall comeºª to thy light,º and kingsº to the brightnessº of thy rising.º 4 Lift upºª thine eyesº round about,º and see:ºª all² they gather themselves together,ºª they comeºª to thee: thy sonsº shall comeºª from far,º² and thy daughtersº shall be nursedºª at² [thy] side.º 5 Then² thou shalt see,ºªª¹ and flow together,ºª and thine heartº shall fear,ºª and be enlarged;ºª because² the abundanceº of the seaº shall be convertedºª unto² thee, the forcesº of the Gentilesº shall comeºª unto thee. 6 The multitudeº of camelsº shall coverºª thee, the dromedariesº of Midianº and Ephah;º all² they from Shebaº² shall come:ºª they shall bringºª goldº and incense;º and they shall shew forthºª the praisesº of the LORD.º 7 All² the flocksº of Kedarº shall be gathered togetherºª unto thee, the ramsº of Nebaiothº shall ministerºª unto thee: they shall come upºª with² acceptanceº on mine altar,º and I will glorifyºª the houseº of my glory.º 8 Who² [are] these² [that] flyºª as a cloud,º and as the dovesº to² their windows?º 9 Surely² the islesº shall waitºª for me, and the shipsº of Tarshishº first,º to bringºª thy sonsº from far,º² their silverº and their goldº with² them, unto the nameº of the LORDº thy God,º and to the Holy Oneº of Israel,º because² he hath glorifiedºª thee. 10 And the sonsº of strangersº shall build upºª thy walls,º and their kingsº shall ministerºª unto thee: for² in my wrathº I smoteºª thee, but in my favourº have I had mercyºª on thee. 11 Therefore thy gatesº shall be openºª continually;º they shall not² be shutºª dayº nor night;º that [men] may bringºª unto² thee the forcesº of the Gentiles,º and [that] their kingsº [may be] brought.ºª 12 For² the nationº and kingdomº that² will not² serveºª thee shall perish;ºª yea, [those] nationsº shall be utterly¹ª wasted.ºª 13 The gloryº of Lebanonº shall comeºª unto² thee, the fir tree,º the pine tree,º and the boxº together,º to beautifyºª the placeº of my sanctuary;º and I will make the placeº of my feetº glorious.ºª 14 The sonsº also of them that afflictedºª thee shall comeºª bendingºª unto² thee; and all² they that despisedºª thee shall bow themselves downºª at² the solesº of thy feet;º and they shall callºª thee, The cityº of the LORD,º The Zionº of the Holy Oneº of Israel.º
