Longing for the Temple Worship.

For the choir director; on the Gittith. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

  1 How° lovely° are Your adwelling° places°,
  O LORD° of hosts°!
  2 My asoul° longed° and even° yearned° for the courts° of the LORD°;
  My heart° and my flesh° sing° for joy° to the bliving° God°.
  3 The bird° also° has found° a house°,
  And the swallow° a nest° for herself, where° she may lay° her young°,
  Even Your aaltars°, O LORD° of hosts°,
  bMy King° and my God°.
  4 How ablessed° are those who dwell° in Your house°!
  They are bever° praising° You.

The prophet longing for the communion of the sanctuary,

4 Blessedº [are] they that dwellºª in thy house:º they will be still² praisingºª thee. 8 O LORDº Godº of hosts,º hearºª my prayer:º give ear,ºª O Godº of Jacob.º Selah.º 9 Behold,ºª O Godº our shield,º and look¹ª upon² the faceº of thine anointed.º 10 For² a dayº in thy courtsº [is] betterº than a thousand.º² I had ratherºª be a doorkeeperºª in the houseº of my God,º than to dwellºª² in the tentsº of wickedness.º 11 For² the LORDº Godº [is] a sunº and shield:º the LORDº will giveºª graceº and glory:º no² goodº [thing] will he withholdºª from them that walkºª uprightly.º 12 O LORDº of hosts,º blessedº [is] the manº that trustethºª in thee.
