The feast of the Passover,

1 ¶ Observeºª² the monthº of Abib,º and keepºª the passoverº unto the LORDº thy God:º for² in the monthº of Abibº the LORDº thy Godº brought thee forthºª out of Egyptº² by night.º 2 Thou shalt therefore sacrificeºª the passoverº unto the LORDº thy God,º of the flockº and the herd,º in the placeº which² the LORDº shall chooseºª to placeºª his nameº there.² 3 Thou shalt eatºª no² leavened breadº with² it; sevenº daysº shalt thou eatºª unleavened breadº therewith,² [even] the breadº of affliction;º for² thou camest forthºª out of the landº² of Egyptº in haste:º that² thou mayest rememberºª² the dayº when thou camest forthºª out of the landº² of Egyptº all² the daysº of thy life.º 4 And there shall be no² leavened breadº seenºª with thee in all² thy coastº sevenº days;º neither² shall there [any thing] of² the flesh,º which² thou sacrificedstºª the firstº dayº at even,º remain¹ª all night² until the morning.º 5 Thou mayestºª not² sacrificeºª² the passoverº within anyº of thy gates,º which² the LORDº thy Godº givethºª thee: 6 But²² at² the placeº which² the LORDº thy Godº shall chooseºª to placeºª his nameº in, there² thou shalt sacrificeºª² the passoverº at even,º at the going downºª of the sun,º at the seasonº that thou camest forthºª out of Egypt.º² 7 And thou shalt roastºª and eatºª [it] in the placeº which² the LORDº thy Godº shall choose:ºª and thou shalt turnºª in the morning,º and goºª unto thy tents.º 8 Sixº daysº thou shalt eatºª unleavened bread:º and on the seventhº dayº [shall be] a solemn assemblyº to the LORDº thy God:º thou shalt doºª no² workº [therein].

9 ¶ Sevenº weeksº shalt thou numberºª unto thee: beginºª to numberºª the sevenº weeksº from [such time as] thou beginnestºª² [to put] the sickleº to the corn.º 10 And thou shalt keepºª the feastº of weeksº unto the LORDº thy Godº with a tributeº of a freewill offeringº of thine hand,º which² thou shalt giveºª [unto the LORD thy God], according as² the LORDº thy Godº hath blessedºª thee: 11 And thou shalt rejoiceºª beforeº the LORDº thy God,º thou,² and thy son,º and thy daughter,º and thy manservant,º and thy maidservant,º and the Leviteº that² [is] within thy gates,º and the stranger,º and the fatherless,º and the widow,º that² [are] amongº you, in the placeº which² the LORDº thy Godº hath chosenºª to placeºª his nameº there.² 12 And thou shalt rememberºª that² thou wast² a bondmanº in Egypt:º and thou shalt observeºª and doºª² these² statutes.º

13 ¶ Thou shalt observeºª the feastº of tabernaclesº sevenº days,º after that thou hast gatheredºª in thy cornº² and thy wine:º² 14 And thou shalt rejoiceºª in thy feast,º thou,² and thy son,º and thy daughter,º and thy manservant,º and thy maidservant,º and the Levite,º the stranger,º and the fatherless,º and the widow,º that² [are] within thy gates.º 15 Sevenº daysº shalt thou keep a solemn feastºª unto the LORDº thy Godº in the placeº which² the LORDº shall choose:ºª because² the LORDº thy Godº shall blessºª thee in all² thine increase,º and in all² the worksº of thine hands,º therefore thou shalt² surely² rejoice.º

Every male must offer, as he is able, at these three feasts.

16 ¶ Threeº timesº in a yearº shall all² thy malesº appearºª² beforeº the LORDº thy Godº in the placeº which² he shall choose;ºª in the feastº of unleavened bread,º and in the feastº of weeks,º and in the feastº of tabernacles:º and they shall not² appearºª² beforeº the LORDº empty:º 17 Every manº [shall give] as he is able,ºº according to the blessingº of the LORDº thy Godº which² he hath givenºª thee.

Of judges and justice.

18 ¶ Judgesºª and officersºª shalt thou makeºª thee in all² thy gates,º which² the LORDº thy Godº givethºª thee, throughout thy tribes:º and they shall judgeºª² the peopleº with justº judgment.º 19 Thou shalt not² wrestºª judgment;º thou shalt not² respectºª persons,º neither² takeºª a gift:º for² a giftº doth blindºª the eyesº of the wise,º and pervertºª the wordsº of the righteous.º 20 That which is altogether¹ justº shalt thou follow,ºª that² thou mayest live,ºª and inheritºª² the landº which² the LORDº thy Godº givethºª thee.

Groves and images are forbidden.

21 ¶ Thou shalt not² plantºª thee a groveº of any² treesº near² unto¹ the altarº of the LORDº thy God,º which² thou shalt makeºª thee. 22 Neither² shalt thou set thee upºª [any] image;º which² the LORDº thy Godº hateth.ºª
