  And bdo not hide° Yourself from my supplication°.
  2 Give° aheed° to me and answer° me;
  I am restless° in my bcomplaint° and I cam surely° distracted°,
  3 Because° of the voice° of the enemy°,
  Because°° of the apressure° of the wicked°;

  I would fly° away° and I abe at rest°.

He prayeth against his enemies, of whose wickedness and treachery he complaineth.

He comforteth himself in God's preservation of him, and confusion of his enemies.

16 As for me, I² will callº ª upon² God;º and the LORDº shall saveº ª me. 17 Evening,º and morning,º and at noon,º will I pray,º ª and cry aloud:º ª and he shall hearº ª my voice.º 18 He hath deliveredº ª my soulº in peaceº from the battleº ² [that was] against me: for² there were² manyº with² me. 19 Godº shall hear,º ª and afflict¹ ª ² them, even he that abidethº ª of old.º Selah.º Because² they have no² changes,º therefore they fearº ª not² God.º 20 He hath put forthº ª his handsº against such as be at peaceº with him: he hath brokenº ª his covenant.º 21 [The words] of his mouthº were smootherº ª than butter,º but warº [was] in his heart:º his wordsº were softerº ª than oil,º ² yet [were] they² drawn swords.º 22 Castº ª thy burdenº upon² the LORD,º and he² shall sustainº ª thee: he shall neverº ² sufferº ª the righteousº to be moved.º ª 23 But thou,² O God,º shalt bring them downº ª into the pitº of destruction:º bloodyº and deceitfulº men¹ ² shall not² live out halfº ª their days;º but I² will trustº ª in thee.
