A Song; a Psalm of the sons of Korah.

  1 aGreat° is the LORD°, and greatly° to be praised°,
  In the bcity° of our God°, His choly° mountain°.
  2 aBeautiful° in elevation°, bthe joy° of the whole° earth°,
  Is Mount° Zion° [in] the far° north°,
  The ccity° of the great° King°.
  3 God°, in her palaces°,
  Has made Himself known° as a astronghold°.

1 ¶ [[A Songº [and] Psalmº for the sonsº of Korah.]]º Greatº [is] the LORD,º and greatlyº to be praisedºª in the cityº of our God,º [in] the mountainº of his holiness.º 2 Beautifulº for situation,º the joyº of the whole² earth,º [is] mountº Zion,º [on] the sidesº of the north,º the cityº of the greatº King.º 3 Godº is knownºª in her palacesº for a refuge.º 4 For,² lo,² the kingsº were assembled,ºª they passed byºª together.º 5 They² sawºª [it, and] so² they marvelled;ºª they were troubled,ºª [and] hasted away.ºª 6 Fearº took hold¹ª upon² them there,² [and] pain,º as of a woman in travail.ºª 7 Thou breakestºª the shipsº of Tarshishº with an eastº wind.º 8 As² we have heard,ºª so² have we seenºª in the cityº of the LORDº of hosts,º in the cityº of our God:º Godº will establishºª it for¹ ever.º² Selah.º 9 We have thoughtºª of thy lovingkindness,º O God,º in the midstº of thy temple.º 10 According to thy name,º O God,º so² [is] thy praiseº unto² the endsº of the earth:º thy right handº is fullºª of righteousness.º 11 Let mountº Zionº rejoice,ºª let the daughtersº of Judahº be glad,ºª because of² thy judgments.º 12 Walk aboutºª Zion,º and go round aboutºª her: tellºª the towersº thereof. 13 Mark¹ª ye wellº² her bulwarks,º considerºª her palaces;º that² ye may tellºª [it] to the generationº following.º 14 For² this² Godº [is] our Godº for everº and ever:º he² will be our guideºª [even] unto² death.¹²
