  1 God° is our arefuge° and strength°,
  IA very° bpresent° help° cin IItrouble°.
  2 Therefore°° we will anot fear°, though bthe earth° should change°
  And though cthe mountains° slip° into the heart° of the Isea°;
  3 Though its awaters° roar° [and] foam°,
  Though the mountains° quake° at its swelling° pride°.

The confidence which the Church hath in God.

1 ¶ [[To the chief Musicianºª for the sonsº of Korah,º A Songº upon² Alamoth.]]º Godº [is] our refugeº and strength,º a veryº presentºª helpº in trouble.º 2 Therefore²² will not² we fear,ºª though the earthº be removed,ºª and though the mountainsº be carriedºª into the midstº of the sea;º 3 [Though] the watersº thereof roarºª [and] be troubled,ºª [though] the mountainsº shakeºª with the swellingº thereof. 8 Come,¹ª² beholdºª the worksº of the LORD,º what² desolationsº he hath madeºª in the earth.º 9 He maketh warsº to ceaseºª unto² the endº of the earth;º he breakethºª the bow,º and cuttethºª the spearº in sunder;¹ª he burnethºª the chariotº in the fire.º 10 Be still,ºª and knowºª that² I² [am] God:º I will be exaltedºª among the heathen,º I will be exaltedºª in the earth.º 11 The LORDº of hostsº [is] with² us; the Godº of Jacobº [is] our refuge.º Selah.º
