1 And the word° of the LORD° came° to me saying°, 2 “Son° of man°, set° your face° toward° aGog° of the land° of bMagog°, the Iprince° of cRosh°, dMeshech° and dTubal°, and prophesy° against° him 3 and say°, ‘Thus° says° the Lord° IGOD°, “Behold°, I am against° you, O Gog°, IIprince° of Rosh°, Meshech° and Tubal°. 4 I will turn° you about° and put° hooks° into your jaws°, and I will abring° you out, and all° your army°, bhorses° and horsemen°, all° of them Isplendidly° attired°, a great° company° [with] buckler° and shield°, all° of them wielding° swords°; 5 aPersia°, IbEthiopia° and cPut° with them, all° of them [with] shield° and helmet°; 6 aGomer° with all° its troops°; bBeth-togarmah°° [from] the remote° parts° of the north° with all° its troops°—many° peoples° with you.

7 ¶ “aBe prepared°, and prepare° yourself, you and all° your companies° that are assembled° about° you, and be a guard° for them. 8 aAfter° many° days° you will be summoned°; in the latter° years° you will come° into the land° that is restored° from the sword°, [whose inhabitants] have been bgathered° from many° Inations° to the cmountains° of Israel° which° had been° a continual° waste°; but IIits people were brought° out from the Inations°, and they are dliving° securely°, all° of them. 9 You will go° up, you will come° alike a storm°; you will be like a bcloud° covering° the land°, you and all° your troops°, and many° peoples° with you.”

10 ¶ ‘Thus° says° the Lord° GOD°, “It will come° about on that day°, that Ithoughts° will come° into your mind° and you will adevise° an evil° plan°, 11 and you will say°, ‘I will go° up against° the land° of Iaunwalled° villages°. I will go° against those who are bat rest°, that live° securely°, all° of them living° without° walls° and having° no° bars° or gates°, 12 to acapture° spoil° and to seize° plunder°, to turn° your hand° against° the waste° places° which are [now] inhabited°, and against° the people° who are gathered° from the nations°, who have acquired° cattle° and goods°, who live° at the Icenter° of the world°.’ 13 aSheba° and bDedan° and the merchants° of cTarshish° with all° its Ivillages° will say° to you, ‘Have you come° to capture° spoil°? Have you assembled° your company° to seize° plunder°, to carry° away silver° and gold°, to take° away cattle° and goods°, to capture° great° dspoil°?’”’

14 ¶ “Therefore° prophesy°, son° of man°, and say° to Gog°, ‘Thus° says° the Lord° GOD°, “On that day° when My people° Israel° are aliving° securely°, will you not know° [it]? 15 aYou will come° from your place° out of the remote° parts° of the north°, you and many° peoples° with you, all° of them riding° on horses°, a great° assembly° and a mighty° army°; 16 and you will come° up against° My people° Israel° like a cloud° to cover° the land°. It shall come° about in the last° days° that I will bring° you against° My land°, so° that the nations° may aknow° Me when I am bsanctified° through you before their eyes°, O Gog°.”

17 ¶ ‘Thus° says° the Lord° GOD°, “Are you the one° of whom° I spoke° in former° days° through° My servants° the prophets° of Israel°, who aprophesied° in those° days° for [many] years° that I would bring° you against° them? 18 It will come° about on that day°, when° Gog° comes° against° the land° of Israel°,” declares° the Lord° GOD°, “that My fury° will mount° up in My aanger°. 19 In My azeal° and in My blazing° wrath° I declare° [that] on that day° there will surely°° be a great° Ibearthquake° in the land° of Israel°. 20 aThe fish° of the sea°, the birds° of the heavens°, the beasts° of the field°, all° the creeping° things° that creep° on the earth°, and all° the men° who° are on the face° of the earth° will shake° at My presence°; the bmountains° also will be thrown° down°, the steep° pathways° will Icollapse° and every° wall° will fall° to the ground°. 21 I will call° for a asword° against° Ihim on all° My mountains°,” declares° the Lord° GOD°. “bEvery° man’s° sword° will be against his brother°. 22 With pestilence° and with blood° I will enter° into ajudgment° with him; and I will rain° on him and on his troops°, and on the many° peoples° who° are with him, Ia torrential° rain°, with bhailstones°°, fire° and brimstone°. 23 I will magnify° Myself, sanctify° Myself, and amake° Myself known° in the sight° of many° nations°; and they will know° that I am the LORD°.”’

8 ¶ After manyº daysº² thou shalt be visited:ºª in the latterº yearsº thou shalt comeºª into² the landº [that is] brought backºª from the sword,º² [and is] gatheredºª out of manyº people,º² against² the mountainsº of Israel,º which² have been² alwaysº waste:º but it² is brought forthºª out of the nations,º² and they shall dwellºª safelyº all² of them. 9 Thou shalt ascendºª and comeºª like a storm,º thou shalt be² like a cloudº to coverºª the land,º thou,² and all² thy bands,º and manyº peopleº with² thee. 10 Thus² saithºª the Lordº GOD;º It shall also come to pass,² [that] at the same² timeº shall thingsº comeºª into² thy mind,º and thou shalt thinkºª an evilº thought:º 11 And thou shalt say,ºª I will go upºª to² the landº of unwalled villages;º I will goºª to them that are at rest,ºª that dwellºª safely,º all² of them dwellingºª without² walls,º and having neither² barsº nor gates,º 12 To takeºª a spoil,º and to takeºª a prey;º to turnºª thine handº upon² the desolate placesº [that are now] inhabited,ºª and upon² the peopleº [that are] gatheredºª out of the nations,º² which have gottenºª cattleº and goods,º that dwellºª in² the midstº of the land.º 13 Sheba,º and Dedan,º and the merchantsºª of Tarshish,º with all² the young lionsº thereof, shall sayºª unto thee, Art thou² comeºª to takeºª a spoil?º hast thou gatheredºª thy companyº to takeºª a prey?º to carry awayºª silverº and gold,º to take awayºª cattleº and goods,º to takeºª a greatº spoil?º

God's judgment against him.

14 ¶ Therefore,² sonº of man,º prophesyºª and sayºª unto Gog,º Thus² saithºª the Lordº GOD;º In that² dayº when my peopleº of Israelº dwellethºª safely,º shalt thou not² knowºª [it]? 15 And thou shalt comeºª from thy placeº² out of the northº parts,º² thou,² and manyº peopleº with² thee, all² of them ridingºª upon horses,º a greatº company,º and a mightyº army:º 16 And thou shalt come upºª against² my peopleº of Israel,º as a cloudº to coverºª the land;º it shall be² in the latterº days,º and I will bringºª thee against² my land,º that² the heathenº may knowºª me, when I shall be sanctifiedºª in thee, O Gog,º before their eyes.º 17 Thus² saithºª the Lordº GOD;º [Art] thou² he² of whom² I have spokenºª in oldº timeº byº my servantsº the prophetsº of Israel,º which prophesiedºª in those² daysº [many] yearsº that I would bringºª thee against² them? 18 And it shall come to pass² at the same² timeº whenº Gogº shall comeºª against² the landº of Israel,º saithºª the Lordº GOD,º [that] my furyº shall come upºª in my face.º 19 For in my jealousyº [and] in the fireº of my wrathº have I spoken,ºª Surely²² in that² dayº there shall be² a greatº shakingº in² the landº of Israel;º 20 So that the fishesº of the sea,º and the fowlsº of the heaven,º and the beastsº of the field,º and all² creeping thingsº that creepºª upon² the earth,º and all² the menº that² [are] upon² the faceº of the earth,º shall shakeºª at my presence,º² and the mountainsº shall be thrown down,ºª and the steep placesº shall fall,ºª and every² wallº shall fallºª to the ground.º 21 And I will call¹ª for² a swordº against² him throughout all² my mountains,º saithºª the Lordº GOD:º every man'sº swordº shall be² against his brother.º 22 And I will pleadºª against² him with pestilenceº and with blood;º and I will rainºª upon² him, and upon² his bands,º and upon² the manyº peopleº that² [are] with² him, an overflowingºª rain,º and great hailstones,ºº fire,º and brimstone.º 23 Thus will I magnify¹ª myself,² and sanctify¹ª myself;² and I will be knownºª in the eyesº of manyº nations,º and they shall knowºª that² I² [am] the LORD.º
