The judgment of mount Seir for their hatred of Israel.

1 ¶ Moreover the wordº of the LORDº came² unto² me, saying,ºª 2 Sonº of man,º setºª thy faceº against² mountº Seir,º and prophesyºª against² it, 3 And sayºª unto it, Thus² saithºª the Lordº GOD;º Behold,² O mountº Seir,º I [am] against² thee, and I will stretch outºª mine handº against² thee, and I will makeºª thee most¹ desolate.º² 4 I will layºª thy citiesº waste,º and thou² shalt be² desolate,º and thou shalt knowºª that² I² [am] the LORD.º 5 Because² thou hast had² a perpetualº hatred,º and hast shedºª [the blood of]² the childrenº of Israelº by² the forceº of the swordº in the timeº of their calamity,º in the timeº [that their] iniquityº [had] an end:º 6 Therefore,² [as] I² live,º saithºª the Lordº GOD,º I will prepareºª thee unto blood,º and bloodº shall pursueºª thee: sithº thou hast not² hatedºª blood,º even bloodº shall pursueºª thee. 7 Thus will I makeºª² mountº Seirº most¹ desolate,º and cut offºª from² it him that passeth outºª and him that returneth.ºª 8 And I will fillºª² his mountainsº with his slainº [men]: in thy hills,º and in thy valleys,º and in all² thy rivers,º shall they fallºª that are slainº with the sword.º 9 I will makeºª thee perpetualº desolations,º and thy citiesº shall not² return:ºª¹ª and ye shall knowºª that² I² [am] the LORD.º 10 Because² thou hast said,ºª² These twoº nationsº and these twoº countriesº shall be² mine, and we will possessºª it; whereas the LORDº was² there:² 11 Therefore,² [as] I² live,º saithºª the Lordº GOD,º I will even doºª according to thine anger,º and according to thine envyº which² thou hast usedºª out of thy hatredº² against them; and I will make myself knownºª among them, when² I have judgedºª thee. 12 And thou shalt knowºª that² I² [am] the LORD,º [and that] I have heardºª² all² thy blasphemiesº which² thou hast spokenºª against² the mountainsº of Israel,º saying,ºª They are laid desolate,ºªª¹ they are givenºª us to consume.º 13 Thus with your mouthº ye have boastedºª against² me, and have multipliedºª your wordsº against² me: I² have heardºª [them]. 14 Thus² saithºª the Lordº GOD;º When the whole² earthº rejoiceth,ºª I will makeºª thee desolate.º 15 As thou didst rejoiceº at the inheritanceº of the houseº of Israel,º because²² it was desolate,ºª so² will I doºª unto thee: thou shalt be² desolate,º O mountº Seir,º and all² Idumea,º [even] all² of it: and they shall knowºª that² I² [am] the LORD.º
