Job submitteth himself unto God.

1 ¶ Then Jobº answeredºª² the LORD,º and said,ºª 2 I knowºª that² thou canst doºª every² [thing], and [that] no² thoughtº can be withholdenºª from² thee. 3 Who² [is] he² that hidethºª counselº without² knowledge?º therefore² have I utteredºª that I understoodºª not;² things too wonderfulºª for² me, which I knewºª not.² 4 Hear,ºª I beseech thee,² and I² will speak:ºª I will demandºª of thee, and declareºª thou unto me. 5 I have heardºª of thee by the hearingº of the ear:º but now² mine eyeº seethºª thee. 6 Wherefore²² I abhorºª [myself], and repentºª in² dustº and ashes.º

God, preferring Job's cause, maketh his friends submit themselves, and accepteth him.
