  1 aThe fool° has said° in his heart°, “There° is no° God°,”
  They are corrupt°, and have committed° abominable° injustice°;
  bThere° is no° one° who does° good°.
  2 God° has looked° down° from heaven° upon the sons° of men°
  To see° if there° is aanyone who Iunderstands°,
  Who bseeks° after God°.
  3 aEvery° one° of them has turned° aside°; together° they have become° corrupt°;
  There° is no° one° who does° good°, not even° one°.

  IIILet Jacob° rejoice°, let Israel° be glad°.

David describeth the corruption of a natural man.

He convinceth the wicked by the light of their own conscience.

4 Have the workersº ª of iniquityº no² knowledge?º ª who eat upº ª my peopleº [as] they eatº ª bread:º they have not² called¹ ª upon² God.º 5 There² were they in great¹ fear,º ª ² [where] no² fearº was:² for² Godº hath scatteredº ª the bonesº of him that encampethº ª [against] thee: thou hast put [them] to shame,º ª because² Godº hath despisedº ª them.
