  1 aWho° has believed° our message°?
  And to whom° has the arm° of the LORD° been revealed°?
  2 For He grew° up before° Him like a atender° Ishoot°,
  And like a root° out of parched° ground°;
  He has bno° [stately] form° or majesty°
  That we should look° upon Him,
  Nor° appearance° that we should IIbe attracted° to Him.
  3 He was adespised° and forsaken° of men°,
  A man° of Isorrows° and bacquainted° with IIgrief°;
  And like one from whom men hide° their face°
  He was cdespised°, and we did not desteem° Him.

  He was crushed° for bour iniquities°;
  The cchastening° for our IIwell-being° [fell] upon Him,
  And by dHis scourging° we are healed°.
  6 All° of us like sheep° have gone° astray°,
  Each° of us has turned° to his own way°;
  But the LORD° has caused the iniquity° of us all°

  And as for His generation°, who° considered°
  That He was cut° off° out of the land° of the Iliving°

by the benefit of his passion,

4 ¶ Surelyº he² hath borneº ª our griefs,º and carriedº ª our sorrows:º yet we² did esteemº ª him stricken,º ª smittenº ª of God,º and afflicted.º ª 5 But he² [was] woundedº ª for our transgressions,º ² [he was] bruisedº ª for our iniquities:º ² the chastisementº of our peaceº [was] upon² him; and with his stripesº we are healed.º ª 6 All² we like sheepº have gone astray;º ª we have turnedº ª every oneº to his own way;º and the LORDº hath laidº ª on him² the iniquityº of us all.² 7 He was oppressed,º ª and he² was afflicted,º ª yet he openedº ª not² his mouth:º he is broughtº ª as a lambº to the slaughter,º and as a sheepº beforeº her shearersº ª is dumb,º ª so he openethº ª not² his mouth.º 8 He was takenº ª from prisonº ² and from judgment:º ² and who² shall declareº ª his generation?º for² he was cut offº ª out of the landº ² of the living:º for the transgressionº ² of my peopleº was he stricken.º 9 And he madeº ª his graveº with² the wicked,º and with² the richº in his death;º because² he had doneº ª no² violence,º neither² [was any] deceitº in his mouth.º

10 ¶ Yet it pleasedº ª the LORDº to bruiseº ª him; he hath put [him] to grief:º ª when² thou shalt makeº ª his soulº an offering for sin,º he shall seeº ª [his] seed,º he shall prolongº ª [his] days,º and the pleasureº of the LORDº shall prosperº ª in his hand.º 11 He shall seeº ª of the travailº ² of his soul,º [and] shall be satisfied:º ª by his knowledgeº shall my righteousº servantº justifyº ª many;º for he² shall bearº ª their iniquities.º 12 Therefore² will I divideº ª him [a portion] with the great,º and he shall divideº ª the spoilº with² the strong;º because² ² he hath poured outº ª his soulº unto death:º and he² was numberedº ª with² the transgressors;º ª and he bareº ª the sinº of many,º and made intercessionº ª for the transgressors.º ª
