NASB — Isaiah 32 — KJV

The Glorious Future

  1 Behold°, a aking° will reign° righteously°
  And princes° will rule° justly°.
  2 Each° will be like a arefuge° from the wind°
  And a shelter° from the storm°,
  Like Ibstreams° of water° in a dry° country°,
  Like the ashade° of a IIhuge° rock° in IIIa parched° land°.
  3 Then athe eyes° of those who see° will not be Iblinded°,
  And the ears° of those who hear° will listen°.
  4 The Imind° of the ahasty° will discern° the IItruth°,
  And the tongue° of the stammerers° will hasten° to speak° clearly°.
  5 No° longer° will the afool° be called° noble°,
  Or the rogue° be spoken° of [as] generous°.
  6 For a fool° speaks° nonsense°,
  And his heart° Iainclines° toward wickedness°:
  To practice° bungodliness° and to speak° error° against° the LORD°,
  To IIckeep° the hungry° person° unsatisfied°
  And IIIto withhold° drink° from the thirsty°.
  7 As for a rogue°, his weapons° are evil°;
  He adevises° wicked° schemes°
  To bdestroy° [the] afflicted° with Islander°°,
  cEven though [the] needy° one° speaks° IIwhat° is right°.
  8 But athe noble° man° devises° noble° plans°;
  And by noble° plans° he stands°.

The blessings of Christ's Kingdom.

1 ¶ Behold,² a kingº shall reignºª in righteousness,º and princesº shall ruleºª in judgment.º 2 And a manº shall be² as an hiding placeº from the wind,º and a covertº from the tempest;º as riversº of waterº in a dry place,º as the shadowº of a greatº rockº in a wearyº land.º 3 And the eyesº of them that seeºª shall not² be dim,ºª and the earsº of them that hearºª shall hearken.ºª 4 The heartº also of the rashºª shall understandºª knowledge,¹² and the tongueº of the stammerersº shall be readyºª to speakºª plainly.º 5 The vile personº shall be no² more² calledºª liberal,º nor² the churlº saidºª [to be] bountiful.º 6 For² the vile personº will speakºª villany,º and his heartº will workºª iniquity,º to practiseºª hypocrisy,º and to utterºª errorº against² the LORD,º to make emptyºª the soulº of the hungry,º and he will cause the drinkº of the thirstyº to fail.ºª 7 The instrumentsº also of the churlº [are] evil:º he² devisethºª wicked devicesº to destroyºª the poorºª¹ with lyingº words,º even when the needyº speakethºª right.º 8 But the liberalº devisethºª liberal things;º and by² liberal thingsº shall he stand.ºª
