God's glory is magnified by his works, and by his love to man.

1 ¶ [[To the chief Musicianºª upon² Gittith,º A Psalmº of David.]]º O LORDº our Lord,º how² excellentº [is] thy nameº in all² the earth!º who² hast setºª thy gloryº above² the heavens.º 2 Out of the mouthº² of babesº and sucklingsºª hast thou ordainedºª strengthº because of² thine enemies,ºª that thou mightest stillºª the enemyºª and the avenger.ºª 3 When² I considerºª thy heavens,º the workº of thy fingers,º the moonº and the stars,º which² thou hast ordained;ºª 4 What² is man,º that² thou art mindfulºª of him? and the sonº of man,º that² thou visitestºª him? 5 For thou hast made him a little¹ lowerºª² than the angels,º² and hast crownedºª him with gloryº and honour.º 6 Thou madest him to have dominionºª over the worksº of thy hands;º thou hast putºª all² [things] under² his feet:º 7 All² sheepº and oxen,º yea,² and the beastsº of the field;º 8 The fowlº of the air,º and the fishº of the sea,º [and whatsoever] passeth throughºª the pathsº of the seas.º 9 O LORDº our Lord,º how² excellentº [is] thy nameº in all² the earth!º
