The sacrifice and ceremonies of consecrating the priests.

1 ¶ And this² [is] the thingº that² thou shalt doºª unto them to hallowºª them, to minister unto me in the priest's office:ºª Takeºª oneº youngºº bullock,º and twoº ramsº without blemish,º 2 And unleavenedº bread,º and cakesº unleavenedº temperedºª with oil,º and wafersº unleavenedº anointedºª with oil:º [of] wheatenº flourº shalt thou makeºª them. 3 And thou shalt putºª them into² oneº basket,º and bringºª them in the basket,º with the bullockº and the twoº rams.º 4 And Aaronº and his sonsº thou shalt bringºª unto² the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation,º and shalt washºª them with water.º 5 And thou shalt takeºª² the garments,º and put¹ª upon²² Aaronº² the coat,º and the robeº of the ephod,º and the ephod,º and the breastplate,º and girdºª him with the curious girdleº of the ephod:º 6 And thou shalt putºª the mitreº upon² his head,º and putºª² the holyº crownº upon² the mitre.º 7 Then shalt thou takeºª² the anointingº oil,º and pourºª [it] upon² his head,º and anointºª him. 8 And thou shalt bringºª his sons,º and put¹ª coats¹ upon²² them. 9 And thou shalt girdºª them with girdles,º Aaronº and his sons,º and putºª the bonnetsº on them: and the priest's officeº shall be² theirs for a perpetualº statute:º and thou shalt consecrateººª Aaronº and his sons.º 10 And thou shalt cause² a bullockº to be broughtºª beforeº the tabernacleº of the congregation:º and Aaronº and his sonsº shall putºª² their handsº upon² the headº of the bullock.º 11 And thou shalt killºª² the bullockº beforeº the LORD,º [by] the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation.º 12 And thou shalt takeºª of the bloodº² of the bullock,º and putºª [it] upon² the hornsº of the altarº with thy finger,º and pourºª all² the bloodº besideº the bottomº of the altar.º 13 And thou shalt takeºª² all² the fatº that coverethºª² the inwards,º and the caulº [that is] above² the liver,º and the twoº kidneys,º and the fatº that² [is] upon² them, and burnºª [them] upon the altar.º 14 But the fleshº of the bullock,º and his skin,º and his dung,º shalt thou burnºª with fireº withoutº² the camp:º it² [is] a sin offering.º

15 ¶ Thou shalt also takeºª oneº ram;º and Aaronº and his sonsº shall putºª² their handsº upon² the headº of the ram.º 16 And thou shalt slayºª² the ram,º and thou shalt takeºª² his blood,º and sprinkleºª [it] round aboutº upon² the altar.º 17 And thou shalt cutºª the ramº in pieces,º and washºª the inwardsº of him, and his legs,º and putºª [them] unto² his pieces,º and unto² his head.º 18 And thou shalt burnºª² the whole² ramº upon the altar:º it² [is] a burnt offeringº unto the LORD:º it [is] a sweetº savour,º an offering made by fireº unto the LORD.º

19 ¶ And thou shalt takeºª² the otherº ram;º and Aaronº and his sonsº shall putºª² their handsº upon² the headº of the ram.º 20 Then shalt thou killºª² the ram,º and takeºª of his blood,º² and putºª [it] upon² the tipº of the right earº of Aaron,º and upon² the tipº of the rightº earº of his sons,º and upon² the thumbº of their rightº hand,º and upon² the great toeº of their rightº foot,º and sprinkleºª² the bloodº upon² the altarº round about.º 21 And thou shalt takeºª of² the bloodº that² [is] upon² the altar,º and of the anointing¹ oil,º²² and sprinkleºª [it] upon² Aaron,º and upon² his garments,º and upon² his sons,º and upon² the garmentsº of his sonsº with² him: and he² shall be hallowed,ºª and his garments,º and his sons,º and his sons'º garmentsº with² him. 22 Also thou shalt takeºª of² the ramº the fatº and the rump,º and the fatº that coverethºª² the inwards,º and the caulº [above] the liver,º and the twoº kidneys,º and the fatº that² [is] upon² them, and the rightº shoulder;º for² it² [is] a ramº of consecration:º 23 And oneº loafº of bread,º and oneº cakeº of oiledº bread,² and oneº waferº out of the basketº² of the unleavened breadº that² [is] beforeº the LORD:º 24 And thou shalt putºª all² in² the handsº of Aaron,º and in² the handsº of his sons;º and shalt waveºª them [for] a wave offeringº beforeº the LORD.º 25 And thou shalt receiveºª them of their hands,º² and burnºª [them] upon the altarº for² a burnt offering,º for a sweetº savourº beforeº the LORD:º it² [is] an offering made by fireº unto the LORD.º 26 And thou shalt takeºª² the breastº of the ramº² of Aaron'sº consecration,º and waveºª it [for] a wave offeringº beforeº the LORD:º and it shall be² thy part.º 27 And thou shalt sanctifyºª² the breastº of the wave offering,º and the shoulderº of the heave offering,º which² is waved,ºª and which² is heaved up,ºª of the ramº² of the consecration,º [even] of [that] whichº² [is] for Aaron,º and of [that] which²² is for his sons:º 28 And it shall be² Aaron'sº and his sons'º by a statuteº for everº from²² the childrenº of Israel:º for² it² [is] an heave offering:º and it shall be² an heave offeringº from²² the childrenº of Israelº of the sacrificeº² of their peace offerings,º [even] their heave offeringº unto the LORD.º

29 ¶ And the holyº garmentsº of Aaronº shall be² his sons'º afterº him, to be anointed¹² therein, and to be consecratedººª² in them. 30 [And] that sonº² that is priestº in his stead² shall put¹ª them on² sevenº days,º when² he comethºª into² the tabernacleº of the congregationº to ministerºª in the holyº [place].

31 ¶ And thou shalt takeºª the ramº of the consecration,º and seetheºª² his fleshº in the holyº place.º 32 And Aaronº and his sonsº shall eatºª² the fleshº of the ram,º and the breadº that² [is] in the basket,º [by] the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation.º 33 And they shall eatºª those things wherewith² the atonement was made,ºª to consecrateººª² [and] to sanctifyºª them: but a strangerºª shall not² eatºª [thereof], because² they² [are] holy.º 34 And if² ought of the fleshº² of the consecrations,º or of² the bread,º remainºª unto² the morning,º then thou shalt burnºª² the remainderºª with fire:º it shall not² be eaten,ºª because² it² [is] holy.º 35 And thus² shalt thou doºª unto Aaron,º and to his sons,º according to all² [things] which² I have commandedºª thee: sevenº daysº shalt thou consecrateººª them. 36 And thou shalt offerºª every dayº a bullockº [for] a sin offeringº for² atonement:º and thou shalt cleanseºª² the altar,º when thou hast made an atonementºª for² it, and thou shalt anointºª it, to sanctifyºª it. 37 Sevenº daysº thou shalt make an atonementºª for² the altar,º and sanctifyºª it; and it shall be² an altarº most holy:º whatsoever² touchethºª the altarº shall be holy.ºª

The continual burnt offering.

38 ¶ Now this² [is that] which² thou shalt offerºª upon² the altar;º twoº lambsº of the firstº yearº day¹ by dayº continually.º 39 ² The oneº lambº thou shalt offerºª in the morning;º and the otherº lambº thou shalt offerºª at² even:º 40 And with the oneº lambº a tenth¹ deal² of flourº mingledºª with the fourth partº of an hinº of beatenº oil;º and the fourth partº of an hinº of wineº [for] a drink offering.º 41 And the otherº lambº thou shalt offerºª at² even,º and shalt doºª thereto according to the meat offeringº of the morning,º and according to the drink offeringº thereof, for a sweetº savour,º an offering made by fireº unto the LORD.º 42 [This shall be] a continualº burnt offeringº throughout your generationsº [at] the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregationº beforeº the LORD:º where²² I will meetºª you, to speakºª there² unto² thee. 43 And there² I will meetºª with the childrenº of Israel,º and [the tabernacle] shall be sanctifiedºª by my glory.º 44 And I will sanctifyºª² the tabernacleº of the congregation,º and the altar:º I will sanctifyºª also both Aaronº and his sons,º to minister to me in the priest's office.ºª

God's promise to dwell among the children of Israel.

45 ¶ And I will dwellºª amongº the childrenº of Israel,º and will be² their God.º 46 And they shall knowºª that² I² [am] the LORDº their God,º that² brought them forthºª² out of the landº² of Egypt,º that I may dwellºª amongº them: I² [am] the LORDº their God.º
