The blood of all slain beasts must be offered to the LORD at the door of the Tabernacle.

1 ¶ And the LORDº spakeºª unto² Moses,º saying,ºª 2 Speakºª unto² Aaron,º and unto² his sons,º and unto² all² the childrenº of Israel,º and sayºª unto² them; This² [is] the thingº which² the LORDº hath commanded,ºª saying,ºª 3 What¹ man¹ soeverº [there be] of the houseº² of Israel,º that² killethºª an ox,º or² lamb,º or² goat,º in the camp,º or² that² killethºª [it] out¹ of²² the camp,º 4 And bringethºª it not² unto² the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation,º to offerºª an offeringº unto the LORDº beforeº the tabernacleº of the LORD;º bloodº shall be imputedºª unto that² man;º he hath shedºª blood;º and that² manº shall be cut offºª from amongº² his people:º 5 To the end² that² the childrenº of Israelº may bringºª² their sacrifices,º which² they² offerºª in² the openº field,º even that they may bringºª them unto the LORD,º unto² the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation,º unto² the priest,º and offerºª them [for] peaceº offeringsº unto the LORD.º 6 And the priestº shall sprinkleºª² the bloodº upon² the altarº of the LORDº [at] the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation,º and burnºª the fatº for a sweetº savourº unto the LORD.º

They must not offer to devils.

7 And they shall no² more² offerºª² their sacrificesº unto devils,º afterº whom² they² have gone a whoring.ºª This² shall be² a statuteº for everº unto them throughout their generations.º

8 ¶ And thou shalt sayºª unto² them, Whatsoever manº [there be] of the houseº² of Israel,º or of² the strangersº which² sojournºª amongº you, that² offerethºª a burnt offeringº or² sacrifice,º 9 And bringethºª it not² unto² the doorº of the tabernacleº of the congregation,º to offerºª it unto the LORD;º even that² manº shall be cut offºª from among his people.º²

All eating of blood is forbidden,

10 ¶ And whatsoever manº [there be] of the houseº² of Israel,º or of² the strangersº that sojournºª amongº you, that² eatethºª any manner² of blood;º I will even setºª my faceº against that soulº that eatethºª² blood,º and will cut him offºª² from amongº² his people.º 11 For² the lifeº of the fleshº [is] in the blood:º and I² have givenºª it to you upon² the altarº to make an atonementºª for² your souls:º for² it² [is] the bloodº [that] maketh an atonementºª for the soul.º 12 Therefore²² I saidºª unto the childrenº of Israel,º No²² soulº of² you shall eatºª blood,º neither² shall any strangerº that sojournethºª amongº you eatºª blood.º 13 And whatsoever manº [there be] of the childrenº² of Israel,º or of² the strangersº that sojournºª amongº you, which² huntethºª and catchethº any beastº or² fowlº that² may be eaten;ºª he shall even pour¹ª out²² the bloodº thereof, and coverºª it with dust.º 14 For² [it is] the lifeº of all² flesh;º the bloodº of it [is] for the lifeº thereof: therefore I saidºª unto the childrenº of Israel,º Ye shall eatºª the bloodº of no manner²² of flesh:º for² the lifeº of all² fleshº [is] the bloodº thereof: whosoever² eatethºª it shall be cut off.ºª

and all that dieth alone, or is torn.

15 And every² soulº that² eatethºª that which diedº [of itself], or that which was tornº [with beasts, whether it be] one of your own country,º or a stranger,º he shall both washºª his clothes,º and batheºª [himself] in water,º and be uncleanºª until² the even:º then shall he be clean.ºª 16 But if² he washºª [them] not,² nor² batheºª his flesh;º then he shall bearºª his iniquity.º
