  1 I will give° thanks° to the LORD° with all° amy heart°;
  I will btell° of all° Your Iwonders°.
  2 I will be glad° and aexult° in You;
  I will bsing° praise° to Your name°, O cMost° High°.

  3 ¶ When my enemies° turn° back°,
  They stumble° and aperish° before°° You.
  4 For You have amaintained° Imy just° cause°;
  You have sat° on the throne° IIbjudging° righteously°.
  5 You have arebuked° the nations°, You have destroyed° the wicked°;
  You have bblotted° out their name° forever° and ever°.
  6 IThe enemy° has come° to an end° in perpetual° ruins°,
  And You have uprooted° the cities°;
  The very° amemory° of them has perished°.

  See° my affliction° from those awho hate° me,
  You who blift° me up from the gates° of death°,
  14 That I may tell° of aall° Your praises°,
  That in the gates° of the daughter° of Zion°
  I may brejoice° in Your Isalvation°.
  15 The nations° have sunk° down° ain the pit° which they have made°;
  In the bnet° which° they hid°, their own foot° has been caught°.
  16 The LORD° has amade° Himself known°;
  He has bexecuted° judgment°.
  In the work° of his own hands° the wicked° is snared°.

David praiseth God for executing of judgment.

1 ¶ [[To the chief Musicianºª upon² Muthlabben,º¹ A Psalmº of David.]]º I will praiseºª [thee], O LORD,º with my whole² heart;º I will shew forthºª all² thy marvellous works.ºª 2 I will be gladºª and rejoiceºª in thee: I will sing praiseºª to thy name,º O thou most High.º 3 When mine enemiesºª are turnedºª back,º they shall fallºª and perishºª at thy presence.º² 4 For² thou hast maintainedºª my rightº and my cause;º thou satestºª in the throneº judgingºª right.º 5 Thou hast rebukedºª the heathen,º thou hast destroyedºª the wicked,º thou hast put outºª their nameº for everº and ever.º 6 O thou enemy,ºª destructionsº are come to a perpetual¹ end:ºª² and thou hast destroyedºª cities;º¹ª their memorialº is perishedºª with them.º 7 But the LORDº shall endureºª for ever:º he hath preparedºª his throneº for judgment.º 8 And he² shall judgeºª the worldº in righteousness,º he shall minister judgmentºª to the peopleº in uprightness.º 9 The LORDº also will be² a refugeº for the oppressed,º a refugeº in timesº of trouble.º 10 And they that knowºª thy nameº will put their trustºª in thee: for² thou, LORD,º hast not² forsakenºª them that seekºª thee.

He prayeth that he may have cause to praise him.

13 Have mercyºª upon me, O LORD;º considerºª my troubleº [which I suffer] of them that hateºª² me, thou that liftest me upºª from the gatesº² of death:º 14 That² I may shew forthºª all² thy praiseº in the gatesº of the daughterº of Zion:º I will rejoiceºª in thy salvation.º 15 The heathenº are sunk downºª in the pitº [that] they made:ºª in the netº whichº they hidºª is their own footº taken.ºª 16 The LORDº is knownºª [by] the judgmentº [which] he executeth:ºª the wickedº is snared¹ª² in the workº of his own hands.º Higgaion.º Selah.º 17 The wickedº shall be turnedºª into hell,º [and] all² the nationsº that forgetº God.º 18 For² the needyº shall not² alwayº be forgotten:ºª the expectationº of the poorºª¹ shall [not] perishºª for ever.º 19 Arise,ºª O LORD;º let not² manº prevail:ºª let the heathenº be judgedºª in² thy sight.º 20 Putºª them in fear,ºª O LORD:º [that] the nationsº may knowºª themselves² [to be but] men.º Selah.º
