God Praised and Supplicated to Give Victory.

A Song, a Psalm of David.

  1 aMy heart° is steadfast°, O God°;
  I will sing°, I will sing° praises°, even° with my Isoul°.
  2 Awake°, harp° and lyre°;
  I will awaken° the dawn°!
  3 I will give° thanks° to You, O LORD°, among the peoples°,
  And I will sing° praises° to You among the nations°.
  4 For Your alovingkindness° is great° babove°° the heavens°,
  And Your truth° [reaches] to the skies°.
  5 aBe exalted°, O God°, above° the heavens°,
  And Your glory° above° all° the earth°.
  6 aThat Your beloved° may be delivered°,
  Save° with Your right° hand°, and answer° me!

  7 ¶ God° has spoken° in His Iholiness°:
  “I will exult°, I will portion° out Shechem°
  And measure° out the valley° of Succoth°.
  8 “Gilead° is Mine, Manasseh° is Mine;
  Ephraim° also is the Ihelmet° of My head°;
  aJudah° is My IIscepter°.
  9 “Moab° is My washbowl°;
  Over° Edom° I shall throw° My shoe°;
  Over° Philistia° I will shout° aloud°.”

1 ¶ [[A Songº [or] Psalmº of David.]]º O God,º my heartº is fixed;ºª I will singºª and give praise,ºª even² with my glory.º 2 Awake,ºª psalteryº and harp:º I [myself] will awakeºª early.º 3 I will praiseºª thee, O LORD,º among the people:º and I will sing praisesºª unto thee among the nations.º 4 For² thy mercyº [is] greatº above²² the heavens:º and thy truthº [reacheth] unto² the clouds.º

5 Be thou exalted,ºª O God,º above² the heavens:º and thy gloryº above² all² the earth;º 6 That² thy belovedº may be delivered:ºª saveºª [with] thy right hand,º and answerºª me. 7 Godº hath spokenºª in his holiness;º I will rejoice,ºª I will divideºª Shechem,º and mete outºª the valleyº of Succoth.º 8 Gileadº [is] mine; Manassehº [is] mine; Ephraimº also [is] the strengthº of mine head;º Judahº [is] my lawgiver;ºª 9 Moabº [is] my washpot;ºº over² Edomº will I cast outºª my shoe;º over² Philistiaº will I triumph.ºª 10 Who² will bringºª me into the strongº city?º who² will leadºª me into² Edom?º
