The borders of the land.

1 ¶ And the LORDº spakeºª unto² Moses,º saying,ºª 2 Commandºª² the childrenº of Israel,º and sayºª unto² them, When² ye² comeºª into² the landº of Canaan;º (this² [is] the landº that² shall fallºª unto you for an inheritance,º [even] the landº of Canaanº with the coastsº thereof:) 3 Then your southº quarterº shall be² from the wildernessº² of Zinº along by² the coastº of Edom,º and your southº borderº shall be² the outmost coastº² of the saltº seaº eastward:º 4 And your borderº shall turnºª from the southº² to the ascentº of Akrabbim,¹² and pass onºª to Zin:º and the going forthº thereof shall be² from the southº² to Kadeshbarnea,º and shall go onºª to Hazaraddar,º and pass onºª to Azmon:º 5 And the borderº shall fetch a compassºª from Azmonº² unto the riverº of Egypt,º and the goings outº of it shall be² at the sea.º 6 And [as for] the westernº border,º ye shall even have² the greatº seaº for a border:º this² shall be² your westº border.º 7 And this² shall be² your northº border:º from² the greatº seaº ye shall point outºª for you mountº Hor:º 8 From mountº Horº² ye shall point outºª [your border] unto the entranceºª of Hamath;º and the goings forthº of the borderº shall be² to Zedad:º

9 ¶ And the borderº shall go onºª to Ziphron,º and the goings outº of it shall be² at Hazarenan:º this² shall be² your northº border.º 10 And ye shall point outºª your eastº borderº from Hazarenanº² to Shepham:º 11 And the coastº shall go downºª from Shephamº² to Riblah,º on the east sideº² of Ain;º and the borderº shall descend,ºª and shall reachºª unto² the sideº of the seaº of Chinnerethº eastward:º 12 And the borderº shall go downºª to Jordan,º and the goings outº of it shall be² at the saltº sea:º this² shall be² your landº with the coastsº thereof round about.º 13 And Mosesº commandedºª² the childrenº of Israel,º saying,ºª This² [is] the landº which² ye shall inheritºª by lot,º which² the LORDº commandedºª to giveºª unto the nineº tribes,º and to the halfº tribe:º 14 For² the tribeº of the childrenº of Reubenº according to the houseº of their fathers,º and the tribeº of the childrenº of Gad¹² according to the houseº of their fathers,º have receivedºª [their inheritance]; and halfº the tribeº of Manassehº have receivedºª their inheritance:º 15 The twoº tribesº and the halfº tribeº have receivedºª their inheritanceº on this sideº² Jordanº [near] Jerichoº eastward,º toward the sunrising.º

The names of the men which shall divide the land.

16 And the LORDº spakeºª unto² Moses,º saying,ºª 17 These² [are] the namesº of the men¹² which² shall divideºª² the landº unto you: Eleazarº the priest,º and Joshuaº the sonº of Nun.º 18 And ye shall takeºª one¹ princeºº of every tribe,º² to divide¹ª the land¹ by inheritance.ºª²² 19 And the namesº of the men¹² [are] these:² Of the tribeº of Judah,º Calebº the sonº of Jephunneh.º 20 And of the tribeº of the childrenº of Simeon,º Shemuelº the sonº of Ammihud.º 21 Of the tribeº of Benjamin,º Elidadº the sonº of Chislon.º 22 And the princeº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Dan,º Bukkiº the sonº of Jogli.º 23 The princeº of the childrenº of Joseph,º for the tribeº of the childrenº of Manasseh,º Hannielº the sonº of Ephod.º 24 And the princeº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Ephraim,º Kemuelº the sonº of Shiphtan.º 25 And the princeº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Zebulun,º Elizaphanº the sonº of Parnach.º 26 And the princeº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Issachar,º Paltielº the sonº of Azzan.º 27 And the princeº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Asher,º Ahihudº the sonº of Shelomi.º 28 And the princeº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Naphtali,º Pedahelº the sonº of Ammihud.º 29 These² [are they] whom² the LORDº commandedºª to divide the inheritanceºª² unto the childrenº of Israelº in the landº of Canaan.º
