Chambers of the Temple1 Then he abrought° me out into the bouter° court°, the way° ctoward° the north°; and he brought° me to the dchamber° which° [was] opposite° the eseparate° area° and opposite° the fbuilding° toward° the north°. 2 Along°° the length°, [which was] a ahundred° cubits°, [was] the north° door°; the width° [was] fifty° cubits°. 3 Opposite° the atwenty° [cubits] which° belonged to the inner° court°, and opposite° the bpavement° which° belonged to the outer° court°, [was] Icgallery° corresponding°° to Igallery° in three° stories. 4 Before° the achambers° [was] an inner° walk° ten° cubits° wide°, a way° of one° [hundred] cubits°; and their openings° [were] on the north°. 5 Now the upper° chambers° [were] Ismaller° because° the IIagalleries° took° more° [space] away° from them than° from the lower° and middle° ones° in the building°. 6 For they [were] in athree° stories and had° no° pillars° like the pillars° of the courts°; therefore°° [the upper chambers] were Iset° back° from the ground° upward, more° than° the lower° and middle° ones°. 7 As for the aouter° wall° by the side° of the chambers°, toward° the outer° court° facing° the chambers°, its length° [was] fifty° cubits°. 8 For the length° of the chambers° which° [were] in the outer° court° [was] fifty° cubits°; and behold°, [the length of those] facing° the temple° [was] a ahundred° cubits°. 9 Below° these° chambers° [was] the aentrance° on the east° side°, as one enters° them from the outer° court°. There° they shall lay° the most° holy° things°, the grain offering°, the sin° offering° and the guilt° offering°; for the place° is holy°. 14 When the priests° enter°, then they shall not go° out into the outer° court° from the sanctuary° Iwithout alaying° there° their bgarments° in which° they minister°, for they are holy°. The chambers for the priests.1 ¶ Then he brought me forthºª into² the utterº court,º the way² towardº the north:º and he broughtºª me into² the chamberº that² [was] over against² the separate place,º and which² [was] before² the buildingº toward² the north.º 2 Beforeº² the lengthº of an hundredº cubitsº [was] the northº door,º and the breadthº [was] fiftyº cubits.º 3 Over against² the twentyº [cubits] which² [were] for the innerº court,º and over against² the pavementº which² [was] for the utterº court,º [was] galleryº againstº² galleryº in threeº [stories]. 4 And beforeº the chambersº [was] a walkº of tenº cubitsº breadthº inward,º a wayº of oneº cubit;º and their doorsº toward the north.º 5 Now the upperº chambersº [were] shorter:ºª for² the galleriesº were higher¹ª² than these,º² than the lower,º² and than the middlemostº² of the building.º 6 For² they² [were] in threeºª [stories], but had not² pillarsº as the pillarsº of the courts:º therefore²² [the building] was straitenedºª more than the lowestº² and the middlemostº from the ground.º² 7 And the wallº that² [was] withoutº over againstº the chambers,º towardº the utterº courtº on² the forepartº of the chambers,º the lengthº thereof [was] fiftyº cubits.º 8 For² the lengthº of the chambersº that² [were] in the utterº courtº [was] fiftyº cubits:º and, lo,² beforeº² the templeº [were] an hundredº cubits.º 9 And from under²² these² chambersº [was] the entryºª¹ª on the east side,º² as one goethºª into themº from the utter¹ court.º² 10 The chambersº [were] in the thicknessº of the wallº of the courtº towardº the east,º over againstº² the separate place,º and over againstº² the building.º 11 And the wayº beforeº them [was] like the appearanceº of the chambersº which² [were] towardº the north,º as long² as¹ they, [and] as² broad² as¹¹ they: and all² their goings outº [were] both according to their fashions,º and according to their doors.º 12 And according to the doorsº of the chambersº that² [were] towardº the southº [was] a doorº in the headº of the way,º [even] the wayº directlyº beforeº the wallº towardº the east,º as one enterethºª into them.
