  1 “However° now, Job°, please° ahear° my speech°,
  And listen° to all° my words°.
  2 “Behold° now°, I open° my mouth°,
  My tongue° in my Imouth° speaks°.
  3 “My words° are [from] the uprightness° of my heart°,
  And my lips° speak° aknowledge° sincerely°.
  4 “The aSpirit° of God° has made° me,
  And the bbreath° of Ithe Almighty° gives° me life°.
  5aRefute° me if° you can°;
  Array° yourselves before° me, take° your stand°.
  6 “Behold°, I belong to God° like you;
  I too° have been Iformed° out of the aclay°.
  7 “Behold°, ano° fear° of me should terrify° you,
  Nor° should my pressure° weigh° heavily° on you.

  And with unceasing° complaint° in his bones°;

  That bhe may see° His face° with joy°,

  28 ‘He has redeemed° my soul° from going° to the pit°,

Elihu offereth himself instead of God, with sincerity and meekness, to reason with Job.

He excuseth God from giving man an account of his ways, by his greatness.

8 Surely² thou hast spokenºª in mine hearing,º and I have heardºª the voiceº of [thy] words,º [saying], 9 I² am cleanº without² transgression,º I² [am] innocent;º neither² [is there] iniquityº in me. 10 Behold,² he findethºª occasionsº against² me, he countethºª me for his enemy,ºª 11 He puttethºª my feetº in the stocks,º he markethºª all² my paths.º 12 Behold,² [in] this² thou art not² just:ºª I will answerºª thee, that² Godº is greaterºª than man.º² 13 Why² dost thou striveºª against² him? for² he giveth not² accountºª of any² of his matters.º

God calleth man to repentance by visions,
