5 Deadº [things] are formedºª from under²² the waters,º and the inhabitantsºª thereof. 6 Hellº [is] nakedº before² him, and destructionº hath no² covering.º 7 He stretcheth outºª the northº over² the empty place,º [and] hangethºª the earthº upon² nothing.º 8 He bindeth upºª the watersº in his thick clouds;º and the cloudº is not rentºª² under² them. 9 He holdeth backºª the faceº of his throne,º [and] spreadethºª his cloudº upon² it. 10 He hath compassedºª² the watersºº with bounds,º until² the dayº and nightº come to an end.º 11 The pillarsº of heavenº trembleºª and are astonishedºª at his reproof.º² 12 He dividethºª the seaº with his power,º and by his understandingºª he smiteth¹ª through² the proud.º 13 By his spiritº he hath garnishedºª the heavens;º his handº hath formed¹ª² the crookedº serpent.º 14 Lo,² these² [are] partsº of his ways:º but how² littleº a portionº is heardºª of him? but the thunderº of his powerº who² can understand?ºª
