An exhortation, by the example of the dumb creatures, to fear God in his Church.

1 ¶ When Israelº went outºª of Egypt,º² the houseº of Jacobº from a peopleº² of strange language;ºª 2 Judahº was² his sanctuary,º [and] Israelº his dominion.º 3 The seaº sawºª [it], and fled:ºª Jordanº was drivenºª back.º 4 The mountainsº skippedºª like rams,º [and] the little hillsº like lambs.ºº 5 What² [ailed] thee, O thou sea,º that² thou fleddest?ºª thou Jordan,º [that] thou wast drivenºª back?º 6 Ye mountains,º [that] ye skippedºª like rams;º [and] ye little hills,º like lambs?ºº 7 Tremble,ºª thou earth,º at the presenceº² of the Lord,º at the presenceº² of the Godº of Jacob;º 8 Which turnedºª the rockº [into] a standingº water,º the flintº into a fountainº of waters.º
