And I will take
you to me for a people, and I will be
to you a God: and ye shall know that I [am
] the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under
the burdens of the Egyptians.
Now therefore, if ye
will obey my voice indeed, and keep
my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar
treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth
] mine: ... And ye shall be unto me a kingdom
of priests, and an
holy nation. These [are
] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
And let them make me a sanctuary
; that I may dwell
And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God. ... And they shall know that I [am]
the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I [am
] the LORD their God.
For I [am
] the LORD that bringeth
you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy
, for I [am
For the LORD thy God walketh
in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing
in thee, and turn away from thee.
And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day
thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.
These shall stand upon mount Gerizim
to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon
, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
Moreover I will make
a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply
them, and will set
my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. ... And the heathen
shall know that I the LORD do sanctify
Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
2 Corinthians 6:16
agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are
the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell
in them, and walk in [them
]; and I will be
their God, and they shall be my people. ... Wherefore come
out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing
]; and I
will receive you,
And I heard a great
voice out of heaven saying, Behold
, the tabernacle of God [is
] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall
be his people, and God himself
