Who may not enter into the congregation.

1 ¶ He that is wounded in the stones,ººª or hath his privy memberº cut off,ºª shall not² enterºª into the congregationº of the LORD.º 2 A bastardº shall not² enterºª into the congregationº of the LORD;º even² to his tenthº generationº shall he not² enterºª into the congregationº of the LORD.º 3 An Ammoniteº or Moabiteº shall not² enterºª into the congregationº of the LORD;º even² to their tenthº generationº shall they not² enterºª into the congregationº of the LORDº for¹ ever:º² 4 Becauseº² they² metºª you not² with breadº and with waterº in the way,º when ye came forthºª out of Egypt;º² and because² they hiredºª against² thee² Balaamº the sonº of Beorº of Pethorº² of Mesopotamia,º to curseºª thee. 5 Nevertheless the LORDº thy Godº wouldºª not² hearkenºª unto² Balaam;º but the LORDº thy Godº turnedºª² the curseº into a blessingº unto thee, because² the LORDº thy Godº lovedºª thee. 6 Thou shalt not² seekºª their peaceº nor their prosperityº all² thy daysº for ever.º

7 ¶ Thou shalt not² abhorºª an Edomite;º for² he² [is] thy brother:º thou shalt not² abhorºª an Egyptian;º because² thou wast² a strangerº in his land.º 8 The childrenº that² are begottenºª of them shall enterºª into the congregationº of the LORDº in their thirdº generation.º

Uncleanness to be avoided in the host.

9 ¶ When² the hostº goeth forthºª against² thine enemies,ºª then keep¹ª thee² from every²² wickedº thing.º

10 ¶ If² there be² among you any man,º that² is² not² cleanº by reason of uncleanness that chancethº² him by night,º then shall he go¹ª abroad¹² out of²²² the camp,º he shall not² comeºª withinº² the camp:º 11 But it shall be,² when eveningº cometh on,ºª he shall washºª [himself] with water:º and when the sunº is down,ºª he shall comeºª intoº² the campº [again].

12 ¶ Thou shalt have² a place² also¹ withoutº² the camp,º whither² thou shalt go forthºª abroad:º 13 And thou shalt have² a paddleº upon² thy weapon;º and it shall be,² when thou wilt easeºª thyself abroad,º thou shalt digºª therewith, and shalt turn backºª and coverºª² that which comethº from thee: 14 For² the LORDº thy Godº walkethºª in the midstº of thy camp,º to deliverºª thee, and to give upºª thine enemiesºª beforeº thee; therefore shall thy campº be² holy:º that he seeºª no² uncleanº thingº in thee, and turn awayºª from²² thee.¹

Of the fugitive servant.

15 ¶ Thou shalt not² deliverºª unto² his masterº the servantº which² is escapedºª from²² his masterº unto² thee: 16 He shall dwellºª with² thee, [even] amongº you, in that placeº which² he shall chooseºª in oneº of thy gates,º where it liketh him best:º thou shalt not² oppressºª him.

Of filthiness.

17 ¶ There shall be² no² whoreº of the daughtersº² of Israel,º nor² a sodomiteº of the sonsº² of Israel.º

Of abominable sacrifices.

18 Thou shalt not² bringºª the hireº of a whore,ºª or the priceº of a dog,º into the houseº of the LORDº thy Godº for any² vow:º for² even² bothº these [are] abominationº unto the LORDº thy God.º

Of usury.

19 ¶ Thou shalt not² lend upon usuryºª to thy brother;º usuryº of money,º usuryº of victuals,º usuryº of any² thingº that² is lent upon usury:ºª 20 Unto a strangerº thou mayest lend upon usury;ºª but unto thy brotherº thou shalt not² lend upon usury:ºª that² the LORDº thy Godº may blessºª thee in all² that thou settestº thine handº to in² the landº whither²² thou² goestºª to possessºª it.

Of vows.

21 ¶ When² thou shalt vowºª a vowº unto the LORDº thy God,º thou shalt not² slackºª to payºª it: for² the LORDº thy Godº will surely¹ª requireºª it of²² thee; and it would be² sinº in thee. 22 But if² thou shalt forbearºª to vow,ºª it shall be² no² sinº in thee. 23 That which is gone outº of thy lipsº thou shalt keepºª and perform;ºª [even] a freewill offering,º according as² thou hast vowedºª unto the LORDº thy God,º which² thou hast promisedºª with thy mouth.º

Of trespasses.

24 ¶ When² thou comestºª into thy neighbour'sº vineyard,º then thou mayest eatºª grapesº thy fillº at thine own pleasure;º but thou shalt not² putºª [any] in² thy vessel.º 25 When² thou comestºª into the standing cornº of thy neighbour,º then thou mayest pluckºª the earsº with thine hand;º but thou shalt not² moveºª a sickleº unto² thy neighbour'sº standing corn.º
