The Choice Young Men1 In the third° year° of the reign° of aJehoiakim° king° of Judah°, bNebuchadnezzar° king° of Babylon° came° to Jerusalem° and besieged°° it. 2 The aLord° gave° Jehoiakim° king° of Judah° into his hand°, along with some°° of the bvessels° of the house° of God°; and he brought° them to the land° of cShinar°, to the house° of his Igod°, and he brought° the vessels° into the treasury°° of his Idgod°. Jehoiakim's captivity.1 ¶ In the thirdº yearº of the reignº of Jehoiakimº kingº of Judahº cameºª Nebuchadnezzarº kingº of Babylonº unto Jerusalem,º and besiegedºª² it. 2 And the Lordº gaveºª² Jehoiakimº kingº of Judahº into his hand,º with partº² of the vesselsº of the houseº of God:º which he carried¹ª into² the landº of Shinarº to the houseº of his god;º and he broughtºª the vesselsº into the treasureº houseº of his god.º [1] 2K 24:1, 13; 2Ch 36:5.
