1 “In that day° a afountain° will be opened° for the house° of David° and for the inhabitants° of Jerusalem°, for bsin° and for cimpurity°.

2 ¶ “It will come° about in that day°,” declares° the LORD° of hosts°, “that I will acut° off° the names° of the idols° from the land°, and they will no° longer° be remembered°; and I will also° remove° the bprophets° and the cunclean° spirit° from the land°. 3 And if° anyone° still° aprophesies°, then his father° and mother° who gave° birth° to him will say° to him, ‘You shall bnot live°, for you have spoken° cfalsely° in the name° of the LORD°’; and his dfather° and mother° who gave° birth° to him will pierce° him through° when he prophesies°. 4 Also it will come° about in that day° that the prophets° will each° be aashamed° of his vision° when he prophesies°, and they will not put° on a bhairy° robe° in order° to deceive°; 5 but he will say°, ‘I am anot a prophet°; I am a tiller°° of the ground°, for a man° Isold° me as a slave in my youth°.’ 6 And one will say° to him, ‘What° are these° wounds° abetween° your Iarms°?’ Then he will say°, ‘[Those] with which° I was wounded° in the house° of IImy friends°.’

  8 “It will come° about in all° the land°,”
  Declares° the LORD°,
  “That atwo° parts° in it will be cut° off° [and] perish°;
  But the third° will be left° in it.
  9 “And I will bring° the third° part° through the afire°,
  Refine° them as silver° is refined°,
  And test° them as gold° is tested°.
  They will bcall° on My name°,
  And I will canswer° them;
  I will say°, ‘They are dMy people°,’
  And they will say°, ‘The LORD° is my God°.’”

2 ¶ And it shall come to pass² in that² day,º saithºª the LORDº of hosts,º [that] I will cut offºª² the namesº of the idolsº out of² the land,º and they shall no² more² be remembered:ºª and also² I will cause² the prophetsº and the uncleanº spiritº to passºª out of² the land.º 3 And it shall come to pass,² [that] when² anyº shall yet² prophesy,ºª then his fatherº and his motherº that begatºª him shall sayºª unto² him, Thou shalt not² live;ºª for² thou speakestºª liesº in the nameº of the LORD:º and his fatherº and his motherº that begatºª him shall thrust¹ª him through² when he prophesieth.ºª 4 And it shall come to pass² in that² day,º [that] the prophetsº shall be ashamedºª every oneº of his vision,º² when he hath prophesied;ºª neither² shall they wearºª a roughº garmentº to² deceive:ºª 5 But he shall say,ºª I² [am] no² prophet,º I² [am] an husbandman;ºººª for² manº taught me to keep cattleºª from my youth.º² 6 And [one] shall sayºª unto² him, What² [are] these² woundsº in² thine hands?º Then he shall answer,ºª [Those] with which² I was woundedºª [in] the houseº of my friends.ºª

7 ¶ Awake,ºª O sword,º against² my shepherd,ºª and against² the manº [that is] my fellow,º saithºª the LORDº of hosts:º smiteºª² the shepherd,ºª and the sheepº shall be scattered:ºª and I will turnºª mine handº upon² the little ones.ºª 8 And it shall come to pass,² [that] in all² the land,º saithºª the LORD,º twoº partsº therein shall be cut offºª [and] die;ºª but the thirdº shall be leftºª therein. 9 And I will bringºª² the third partº through the fire,º and will refineºª them as² silverº is refined,ºª and will tryºª them as² goldº is tried:ºª they² shall callºª on my name,º and I² will hearºª them: I will say,ºª It² [is] my people:º and they² shall say,ºª The LORDº [is] my God.º
