4 Blessedº [is the man whom] thou choosest,ºª and causest to approachºª [unto thee, that] he may dwellºª in thy courts:º we shall be satisfiedºª with the goodnessº of thy house,º [even] of thy holyº temple.º 5 [By] terrible thingsºª in righteousnessº wilt thou answerºª us, O Godº of our salvation;º [who art] the confidenceº of all² the endsº of the earth,º and of them that are afar offº [upon] the sea:º 6 Which by his strengthº setteth fastºª the mountains;º [being] girdedºª with power:º 7 Which stillethºª the noiseº of the seas,º the noiseº of their waves,º and the tumultº of the people.º 8 They also that dwellºª in the uttermost parts¹² are afraidºª at thy tokens:º² thou makest the outgoingsº of the morningº and eveningº to rejoice.ºª 9 Thou visitestºª the earth,º and waterestºª it: thou greatlyº enrichestºª it with the riverº of God,º [which] is fullºª of water:º thou preparestºª them corn,º when² thou hast so² providedºª for it. 10 Thou waterest¹ª the ridgesº thereof abundantly:ºª thou settlestºª the furrowsºª¹ thereof: thou makest it softºª with showers:º thou blessestºª the springingº thereof. 11 Thou crownestºª the yearº with thy goodness;º and thy pathsº dropºª fatness.º 12 They dropºª [upon] the pasturesº of the wilderness:º and the little hillsº rejoiceº on every side.ºª 13 The pasturesº are clothedºª with flocks;º the valleysº also are covered overºª with corn;º they shout for joy,ºª they also² sing.ºª
