Solomon Will Build a Temple and Palace1 IaNow Solomon° IIdecided° to build° a house° for the name° of the LORD° and a IIIroyal° palace° for himself. 2 ISo aSolomon° IIassigned° 70,000°° men° to carry° loads° and 80,000°° men° to quarry° [stone] in the mountains° and 3,600°°°° to supervise° them. Solomon's labourers for the building of the Temple.1 ¶ And Solomonº determinedºª to buildºª an houseº for the nameº of the LORD,º and an houseº for his kingdom.º 2 And Solomonº told outºª threescore and tenº thousandº menº to bear burdens,º and fourscoreº thousandºº to hewºª in the mountain,º and threeº thousandº and sixº hundredº to overseeºª² them.
