Luke 4:18-
19 The
Spirit of the Lord [
is] upon me, because he hath
anointed me
to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me
to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives,
and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are
bruised, ... To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise
joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons,
which need no repentance.
Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you,
there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over
one sinner that repenteth.

1 Corinthians 6:9-
11 Know ye not that the
unrighteous shall not
inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor
abusers of themselves with mankind, ... And
such were some of you:
but ye are washed,
but ye are sanctified,
but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Timothy 1:15-
16 This [

a faithful saying, and
worthy of all acceptation,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;

for this cause

2 Timothy 2:25-
26 In meekness
instructing those that oppose themselves;
if God
peradventure will give them
repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; ... And [
that] they may
recover themselves
out of the snare of the devil,
who are taken captive by him at his will.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord
is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
