Psalms 44:2-

How] thou didst
drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; [
how] thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. ...
For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but
thy right hand, and thine arm, and the
light of thy countenance,
because thou hadst a favour unto them.

divided them an inheritance by line,
and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

Nehemiah 9:22-

So the children went in and possessed the land, and
thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them
