John 11:22

_ _ But I know that even now, etc. — Energetic characters are usually sanguine, the rainbow of hope peering through the drenching cloud.

_ _ whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee — that is “even to the restoration of my dead brother to life,” for that plainly is her meaning, as the sequel shows.
