Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary

Jeremiah 6:21

_ _ stumbling-blocks — instruments of the Jews’ ruin (compare Matthew 21:44; Isaiah 8:14; 1 Peter 2:8). God Himself (“I”) lays them before the reprobate (Psalms 69:22; Romans 1:28; Romans 11:9).

_ _ fathers ... sons ... neighbour ... friend — indiscriminate ruin.

Matthew Henry's Commentary

See commentary on Jeremiah 6:18-30.

John Wesley's Explanatory Notes

Jeremiah 6:21

I will say — I will suffer such things to be laid in their way, as shall be the occasion of their destruction. The neighbour — Men of all sorts and conditions.
