Judges 15:18-
19 And
he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said,
Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now
shall I die for thirst,
and fall into the hand of
the uncircumcised? ... But God clave an hollow place that [
was] in
the jaw, and
there came water thereout; and when he had drunk,
his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which [
is] in Lehi unto this day.
1 Samuel 30:11-
12 And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and
gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water; ... And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten,
his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk [
any] water,
three days and three nights.
Isaiah 44:12 The smith with
the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
Jeremiah 14:18 If I
go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine!
yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.
Lamentations 2:19 Arise,
cry out in the night: in the beginning of the
watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord:
lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children,
that faint for hunger in the top of every street.
Mark 8:2-
3 I have
compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days,
and have nothing to eat: ... And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.
