Proverbs 31:8-9

_ _ Open ... cause — Plead for those who cannot plead for themselves, as the orphan, stranger, etc. (compare Psalms 72:12; Isaiah 1:17).

_ _ appointed to destruction — who are otherwise ruined by their oppressors (compare Proverbs 29:14, Proverbs 29:16).
