Jeremiah 20:11 But the LORD [
is] with me as
a mighty terrible one: therefore
my persecutors shall stumble,
and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: [
their]
everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.
Jeremiah 24:9 And I will deliver them
to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for [
their] hurt,
[to be] a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and
a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.
Jeremiah 42:18 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel;
As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and
ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach;
and ye shall see this place no more.
Jeremiah 44:8-
12 In that
ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell,

I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, [

Deuteronomy 28:37 And thou shalt
become an astonishment,
a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.
Ezekiel 5:14-
15 Moreover
I will make thee waste, and a reproach among
the nations that [
are] round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by. ... So it shall be a reproach and a taunt,
an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that [
are] round about thee,
when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken [
it].
Daniel 9:16 O Lord,
according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city
Jerusalem,
thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and
for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people [
are become] a reproach to all [
that are] about us.

many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life, and some to shame [
