_ _ roar — moan plaintively, like a hungry bear which growls for food.

_ _ doves — (Isaiah 38:14; Ezekiel 7:16).

_ _ salvation — retribution in kind: because not salvation, but “destruction” was “in their paths” (Isaiah 59:7).
