Isaiah 35:4

_ _ fearful — “hasty,” Margin; that is, with a heart fluttered with agitation.

_ _ with — the Hebrew is more forcible than the English Version: “God will come, vengeance! even God, a recompense!” The sense is the same.

Your God — Tho' he seems to be departed, he will come to you, and abide with you. He will shortly come in the flesh, to execute vengeance upon the enemies of God.
