Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary

Ezekiel 30:12

_ _ rivers — the artificial canals made from the Nile for irrigation. The drying up of these would cause scarcity of grain, and so prepare the way for the invaders (Isaiah 19:5-10).

Matthew Henry's Commentary

See commentary on Ezekiel 30:1-19.

John Wesley's Explanatory Notes

Ezekiel 30:12

The rivers dry — Probably the Chaldeans diverted them, and so their fortified towns wanted one great defence. Sell — Give it up entirely.
