_ _ of us — The oldest manuscripts and Vulgate read, “And of the commandment of the Lord and Savior (declared) by YOUR apostles” (so “apostle of the Gentiles,Romans 11:13) — the apostles who live among you in the present time, in contrast to the Old Testament “prophets.”
