Psalms 105:15

_ _ Touch not — referring to Genesis 26:11, where Abimelech says of Isaac, “He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”

_ _ mine anointed — as specially consecrated to Me (Psalms 2:2). The patriarch was the prophet, priest, and king of his family.

_ _ my prophets — in a similar sense, compare Genesis 20:7. The “anointed” are those vessels of God, consecrated to His service, “in whom (as Pharaoh said of Joseph, Genesis 41:38) the Spirit of God is” [Hengstenberg].

Psalms 105:15

Anointed — My prophets, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; who are called God's anointed, because they were consecrated to be his peculiar people, and to be kings and princes in their families. And they are called prophets, because God familiarly conversed with them and revealed his will to them, and by them to others.
