Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary

Leviticus 26:46

_ _ These are the statutes and judgments and laws — It has been thought by some that the last chapter was originally placed after the twenty-fifth [Adam Clarke], while others consider that the next chapter was added as an appendix, in consequence of many people being influenced by the promises and threats of the preceding one, to resolve that they would dedicate themselves and their possessions to the service of God [Calmet].

Matthew Henry's Commentary

See commentary on Leviticus 26:40-46.

John Wesley's Explanatory Notes

Leviticus 26:46

These are the laws which the Lord made between him and the children of Israel — Hereby his communion with his church is kept up. He manifests not only his dominion over them, but his favour to them, by giving them his law. And they manifest not only their holy fear, but their holy love by the observance of it. And thus it is made between them rather as a covenant than as a law: for he draws them with the cords of a man.

Geneva Bible Translation Notes

Leviticus 26:46

These [are] the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount (y) Sinai by the hand of Moses.

(y) Fifty days after they came out of Egypt.
