_ _ pangs — The Hebrew means also a “messenger.” Horsley, therefore, with the Septuagint translates, “The heralds (who bring word of the unexpected invasion) are terrified.” Maurer agrees with English Version, literally, “they shall take hold of pangs and sorrows.”
