_ _ the armies ... in heaven — Compare “the horse bridles,” Revelation 14:20. The glorified saints whom God “will bring with” Christ at His advent; compare Revelation 17:14, “they that are with Him, called, chosen, faithful”; as also “His mighty angels.”

_ _ white and cleanGreek, “pure.” A, B, Vulgate, Syriac, and Cyprian omit “and,” which Origen and Andreas retain, as English Version.
