Isaiah 43:23-
24 Thou
hast not brought me the
small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense. ... Thou hast bought me
no sweet cane with money,
neither hast thou
filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
Micah 6:6-
8 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, [
and]
bow myself before
the high God? shall I come before him
with burnt offerings, with calves
of a year old? ... He hath shewed thee,
O man,
what [is] good;
and what doth the LORD require of thee, but
to do justly, and to
love mercy, and to
walk humbly with thy God?
Acts 17:25 Neither
is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing,
seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
Hebrews 10:4-
6 For [
it is]
not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should
take away sins. ... In
burnt offerings and [
sacrifices] for sin
thou hast had no pleasure.
