Deuteronomy 28:30-
68 Thou shalt
betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt
build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not
gather the grapes thereof. ... And the LORD shall
bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and
there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy [
you].
Psalms 79:1-
2 [[A Psalm of Asaph.]] O God,
the heathen are come
into thine inheritance; thy
holy temple have they defiled; they
have laid Jerusalem on heaps. ... The dead bodies of thy servants have they given [
to be] meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
Isaiah 1:7 Your

is] desolate, your cities [

burned with fire: your land,
strangers devour it in your presence, and [
it is] desolate, as
overthrown by strangers.

shall the lambs feed after their manner, and
the waste places of the fat ones shall
strangers eat.

people of thy holiness have possessed [
it] but a little while:

I will bring the worst of the heathen, and
they shall possess their houses:

the pomp of the strong to cease; and
their holy places shall be defiled.
Zephaniah 1:13 Therefore
their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also
build houses, but not inhabit [
them]; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.
