John 16:20-
22 Verily, verily, I say unto you,
That ye shall weep and lament,
but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but
your sorrow shall be turned into joy. ... And
ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again,
and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
John 14:1 Let
not your heart be troubled:
ye believe in God, believe also in me.
John 14:27-
28 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid. ... Ye have
heard how I said unto you,
I go away, and come [
again] unto you.
If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the
Father: for my Father is greater than I.
John 20:11-
15 But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, [
and looked] into the sepulchre, ... Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou?
whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir,
if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
Luke 22:45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them
sleeping for sorrow,
