Jeremiah 21:7 And afterward, saith the LORD,
I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and
he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon's army,
which are gone up from you.

they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans: and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire.
Jeremiah 39:5 But the
Chaldeans' army pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah
in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to
Riblah in the land of
Hamath, where he
gave judgment upon him.
Isaiah 30:16-
17 But ye said, No;
for we will flee upon horses;
therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. ... One
thousand [
shall flee] at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee:
till ye be left as
a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.
Lamentations 4:19-
20 Our
persecutors are swifter than
the eagles of the heaven:
they pursued us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness. ... The
breath of our nostrils,
the anointed of the LORD,
was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the heathen.
Ezekiel 12:12-
14 And the prince that [
is] among them shall bear upon [
his] shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with [
his] eyes. ... And
I will scatter toward every wind all that [
are] about him to help him, and all his bands; and
I will draw out the sword after them.

21 And
I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will

all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye
shall know that I the LORD have spoken [
it].
Amos 2:14-
15 Therefore
the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver
himself: ... Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and [
he that is] swift of foot shall not deliver
[himself]:
neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself.
Amos 9:1-
4 I saw the Lord standing
upon the altar: and he said,
Smite the
lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them
shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered. ... And though they
go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will
set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
