Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary

Ezekiel 16:51

_ _ Samaria — the kingdom of the ten tribes of Israel less guilty than Judah; for Judah betrayed greater ingratitude, having greater privileges, namely, the temple, the priesthood, and the regular order of kings.

_ _ justified thy sisters — made them appear almost innocent by comparison with thy guilt (Jeremiah 3:11; Matthew 12:41, Matthew 12:42).

Matthew Henry's Commentary

See commentary on Ezekiel 16:44-59.

John Wesley's Explanatory Notes
